Fireplace Glass Doors
Fireplace glass doors are designed to insulate your homes heat from going up the cold chimney when the fireplace is not in use. Always open your fireplace glass doors while burning, the glass is tempered to 400 degrees and if closed while a fire is burning they can over heat and shatter. After the fire has died down you can close the doors.

Masonry fireplace glass doors for brick fireplaces are designed as overlap fit. For a good seal the doors should overlap a minimum of 1 inch on either side and the top.
Zero clearance fireplace glass doors are designed for metal prefab fireplaces. The zero clearance glass doors have an air space on either side so heat will not build up in the firebox causing it to over heat.
